AI features
- Cert citator flags cases that have been overturned or criticized
- Citation lookup and batch citation lookup (listed in the North Carolina Bar Association's member benefit)
- AI-generated case summaries and AI headnotes
- Premium Vincent AI features such as 50-state surveys and argument drafting are a paid upgrade
Pricing
Free through many state bar associations as a member benefit, for example the North Carolina Bar Association and the Idaho State Bar. What's included varies by bar, and some bars have dropped it (the Indiana State Bar Association ended it May 1, 2026). vLex doesn't publish standalone pricing on its Fastcase Library page; it offers a free trial or a demo.
Best for
Solos and small firms that want a free research database with a citator before paying for an AI research tool.
Watch out for
Check your own bar's benefit page before relying on it. The Oklahoma Bar Association notes that Vincent AI isn't part of its free benefit and that the Vincent and Upgrade buttons lead to a subscription sales page.
