Jobber vs Housecall Pro (2026): pricing and AI receptionists for HVAC, plumbing and electrical
Checked 2026-10-20 · Rankings are independent of any affiliate relationship. Disclosure
Both are full field-service platforms (quoting, scheduling, invoicing, payments) with AI that answers calls when you're on a job. Jobber is #1 and Housecall Pro #2 in our AI receptionist guide for trades, mainly because Jobber publishes its AI price and Housecall Pro doesn't.
Short answer. Pick Jobber if you want published prices end to end, including a $29/month AI Receptionist add-on you can cap so it never runs up overage. Pick Housecall Pro if you want AI call answering with the option of handing calls to a live Housecall Pro rep, and you're happy to get the AI price in a quote. Either way, the software you already run your jobs on usually decides it: switching platforms just for the AI rarely pays.
